I saw a post on Facebook from the editor of The Good Trade looking for personal essay pitches for their digital platform. I had a few ideas for articles that I wanted to explore, so I reached out with my pitches and had two articles commissioned. I wrote them using my personal tone of voice with some light editing from the editor. They’re deeply personal pieces, but I had so many women connect with me on social media thanking me for writing the pieces. I couldn’t be prouder of that.
