After leaving uni, I delayed the job hunt and swapped my books and pens for a couple of ski seasons in the French Alps. I reached out to In The Snow Magazine to see if they’d be willing to let me write for them about my time living in the mountains. They were really keen on my ideas and commissioned me to write a monthly column about my adventures called ‘Diaries of a Seasonaire’.
Once I returned home, In The Snow asked if I’d continue my column with a series of beginner guides for anyone who’d been thinking about going skiing but didn’t know where to start. As a die-hard ski fan, this really was a dream job.
